A Review of Our Offerings
Rocking C Therapy is our primary focus, but we also offer 'tradictional' riding lessons for those that develop a desire to utilize the relationship with horses to create a physial challenge alonge side behavioral and emotional.
Ground Based Therapy
EAGALA Certified
In these sessions we will not ride and will focus on the benefits we can gain from interacting with horses 'on the ground'. This session may primarily use the horse as a tool to provide somatic effects (reduced cortisol and testosterone) while unpacking a 'typical' therapy session. Another example may be leaning to lead around and pin point behavioral tendencies that can be addressed and practiced in a 'safe' environment.
Riding Based Therapy
Path Certifications
In these sessions you will arrive with a horse ready to ride. You will set goals with your therapist and benefit from the physical challenge of riding providing a space to practice coping mechanisms.
'Hybrid' Therapy Session
EAGALA & PATH Certifications
These sessions are longer and offer a variety of experiences for our clients. An example of a session may include arriving to the barn with your horse ready to ride, riding, and debreifing the ride and other goals with your therapist while taking care of your horse after the ride. This session could also include a 30 min 1:1 session after riding that may feel more like a 'typical' therapy session, but in a barn.
Riding Lesson
Taught by Equine Specialists
These sessions are not therapy (although they may feel theraupudic). These sessions are primarily focused on developing your physical skills with ridiong and caring for horses. You will learn how to groom, care, and ride.
Ground Work Lesson
Taught by Equine Specialists
These sessions are not therapy Learning how to influence and train a horse without riding is foundational to becoming a great horseman. In these sessions we may learn 'natural horsemanship' or driving skills that will be applicable to any horse you work with.
