Their Story
At the root of the Youngren family is a passion for creating a nurturing environment for everyone and allowing horses to do what they do best, heal and teach us.
Mel had always felt a deep calling towards horses. Growing up, in Anderson, SC, she started her riding journey as a kid. Mel quickly found that the barn is her 'happy place'.
As an adult, she found her 1st cowboy in her husband, Ty. While living in Las Vegas they found Ty's perfect equine match, a horse named 'Cowboy' and his best friend and Mel's heart horse, Shaq.
They eventually moved back home to Anderson, and life took on new meaning when their son was diagnosed with autism. Navigating his world, she discovered beauty and resilience within him and his diagnosis. Through working with his own horse, Honey, he has expanded his voice, strengthened his confidence, and processed his emotions on a deeper level.
